Chapter 40: Freshwater Fish and Aquatic Invertebrates
STUDY AUTHORS: R2; HDR Alaska
Fish and aquatic invertebrates are an essential component of the Bristol Bay region. These chapters present the results from extensive field studies addressing fish and aquatic invertebrate distribution, density, and abundance; channel morphology; habitat; flow/habitat relationships; fluvial geomorphology; and water temperature modeling. The discussion addresses spatial and temporal trends.
- Fish presence was only documented in Y-Valley Creek, where five species of Pacific salmon and Dolly Varden were documented.
